Police and Fire
The Coventry Volunteer Fire Association provides primary fire protection for the first voting district (south-end), and ambulance service throughout the town. We have an active membership of 40 male and female members trained in fire fighting and emergency medical services. This service is assisted by a Lifestar Air Ambulance when needed.
The North Coventry Volunteer Fire Department www.northcoventryfire.org provides primary fire protection for the second voting district (north-end), and rescue services town-wide. The Department has a Main Station located on the corner of Main (RT 31) and Wright's Mill Road, and a substation located on Merrow Road at Laidlaw Park. The Coventry Police Department is a full time full service law enforcement agency. The Department is staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Contact the police department with requests for service, to report a crime or suspicious activity or to make a simple inquiry. Residents are encouraged to call at any time even when they believe the matter is not serious. Dial the direct number 742-7331 or use 9-1-1 in an emergency.
